Funston Elementary School provides a comprehensive bilingual/monolingual academic program for students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade. We have an extremely dedicated and highly qualified teaching staff who value all our students and work to customize instruction to every student’s needs. Funston has Learning Behavior Specialists at each grade level who help to support diverse learners in the classroom through a co-teaching model. Students at Funston receive enrichment classes including: physical education, music, visual arts, and virtual library on a weekly basis. At our school, students are recognized for achieving honor roll, perfect attendance and student of the week. Funston Elementary follows a Restorative Justice approach and works hard to build and maintain relationships between students and staff. Funston embraces an environment that is conducive to excellence in teaching and learning. Faculty and staff at Funston are working hard to make the school a place where all stakeholders feel welcome and we hope that our community takes as much pride in our students’ achievements as we do.
